La Cour de Lavande Details

La Cour De Lavande is a charming 350 year old stone farmhouse, tastefully presented throughout. The entrance to the house faces inwards to a beautiful walled gravel garden bursting with with lavender, roses, irises and hibiscus, with two superb Indian Bean trees forming a central focal point as well as providing areas of welcome shade. To the side of the house is a good sized lawn area suitable for children to play on.

On the opposite side of the courtyard, just a few steps from the kitchen door, is a fantastic 70m2 covered terrace developed from the old barn. This houses a built-in chimney style barbecue, the outdoor dining area and an outdoor sofa and armchair set. A large mirror behind the sofa reflects superb views of the garden. The covered terrace is invaluable not only for shade but also to provide shelter on those occasional warm but rainy summer evenings when you still wish to barbecue and eat outside.

There is a large (12m x 6m) swimming pool with surrounding terrace containing high quality sun loungers. The pool is fenced for the safety of small children but the fencing is unobtrusive and blends well with the surroundings. The pool is close to the house and on the same level - no steps or hillsides to contend with so it's ideal for those with small children or anyone with slight mobility issues. The pool is open between May and October and solar heated (at no extra charge) so should reach a perfect 28 degrees.

Adjoining the covered terrace is a large garage / games room with table tennis, high quality pool table and dart board.

PLEASE NOTE: The owners have a separate house for their own use which adjoins the covered terrace but benefits from a separate entrance and its own garden. This ensures TOTAL privacy for guests and EXCLUSIVE use of the pool. The owners are unlikely to be in residence when the gite is rented however a local property manager lives nearby and is on hand at all times in case of need.

Should the owners ever be in residence at the same time as guests, please be assured that guests's privacy takes priority and you would not be expected to share any facilities or outdoor areas with the exception of the driveway which is sufficiently large to accommodate several vehicles.
